Donate goods
Hutt St Centre couldn’t do what we do without our generous supporters.
Thank you for your support of people experiencing homelessness. Material items we gratefully accept are listed below. To respect people’s dignity, provide good quality items, and with consideration to WHS practices, in particular increased COVID19-safe practices, we are only accepting new items.
We gratefully accept new:
- Blankets
- Sleeping bags, swags
- Towels
- Non-perishable food (in-date only)
- Metro tickets
- Gift vouchers (preferably food only / no alcohol)
Due to strorage constraints, hygeine and safety reasons, there are a number of items we unfortunately can't accept including:
- Second-hand clothes
- Furniture
- Bric-a-brac
- Electrical items
- Pre-cooked food
If you would like to support people at risk of or experiencing homelessness, please consider making a financial donation so we can purchase the supplies we need, at the time we need them. Thanks again for your kindness.
Bulk food items for the Dining Room
Hutt St Centre does accept bulk quantities of products for our Dining Room, when these items meet our service delivery requirements. These donations typically come from manufacturers, suppliers, and/or distributors that can package and provide the items in bulk.
If you are a food manufacturer, supplier or distributor and have bulk items to donate, please call 8418 2500 and ask to speak with Peter. Items cannot be accepted without arranging in advance.
An important note about fruits and vegetables
Due to an outbreak of fruit fly across metropolitan Adelaide, we are currently unable to accept any donations of fruits or vegetables.
For more information about fruit fly restrictions, please visit the Department of Primary Industries and Regions FAQ page.
