The Outsiders - penning new songs

Posted by Hutt St Centre on 2017-04-12

Inspiring Achiever Joao, from "The Outsiders" band, enjoying tinkering the ivorie at Government House.

The Hutt St Centre band ‘The Outsiders’ have been hard at work over the last few weeks working with two professionals, Banjo Jackson and Kaurna Cronin, to learn about song writing. They’ve already put together a few songs that they will perform at the end of the year as part of a music project performance funded by Arts SA. Also performing at the event will be a Hutt St Centre Women’s Singing group, and ‘The Jam, The Mix, The Gig’. Watch our facebook for more on this.

‘The Outsiders’ were recipients of an Inspiring Achievers Award for showing incredible commitment to each other every Tuesday for the past four years. They have learnt to play as a group, developing teamwork skills and they have supported each other through good times and tough times. They have extended themselves by playing in front of different groups of people and in so doing they have been great ambassadors for Hutt St Centre, promoting our values and our organisation.
