Eastern Adelaide Homelessness Service
Let’s walk together.
The Eastern Adelaide Generic Homelessness Service (EAGHS) is a short to medium term service that works with people to help them achieve their housing, health and wellbeing goals.
Who is it for?
We work with adults and families in the eastern region of Adelaide who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness; including people who are sleeping rough, living in boarding house accommodation, couch surfing or living in cars.
How it works
There are four ways we help:
- Housing – we hope to prevent homelessness by supporting people to maintain their tenancies. We can help people find emergency accommodation as well as find suitable and sustainable housing options.
- Case management – we help to link people in with family and community and develop independent living skills.
- Intensive Tenancy Support - early intervention for people at risk of eviction from public or community housing, or private rental accommodation.
- Metropolitan Boarding House Support - we work alongside people living in boarding houses to help them work towards independent housing options.
