If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness you can contact the appropriate gateway service (24 hours, 7 days):

Monday to Friday: 7.00am - 1.00pm
Saturday & Public Holidays: 7.00am - 9.00am



Monday to Friday: 7:30 - 8:30am (donation)

Saturdays and Public Holidays: 7:50am - 8:30 am
(take-away lunch is provided at 8.45am)

Morning Tea

  • Bathrooms are available for both men and women
  • Toiletries available


Are you sleeping rough? Do you need somewhere to store your belongings?

A locked storage room is available

Accessible Monday to Friday: 7.00am – 12.45pm


Washing machines, clotheslines, dryers and an iron are all available.

Washing powder is provided.

Mail Collection

Hutt St Centre can be used as a temporary address to which mail can be forwarded

The postal address is:

We can only hold mail for 3-4 weeks and will return it to sender if not collected. Please check if you have mail each week to avoid disappointment

Recreation & Activities

The Day Centre has facilities for watching television and quiet reading. Cards, table tennis and board games are available and regular outings are organised including picnics, barbecues, bowling and beach trips with Reclink.

Walking Group

Tuesdays 10.00am, meet outside the Hutt Street Library

You can access activities through referral from your Hutt St Centre case worker, or by dropping into the Day Centre and speaking with a staff member.
