Case Management & Support

Eastern Adelaide Generic Homelessness Service

The Eastern Adelaide Generic Homelessness Service (EAGHS) works with adults and families affected by homelessness to find appropriate and sustainable housing solutions. EAGHS is a short to medium term service based in the eastern region of Adelaide supporting people who are experiencing homeless, at risk of homelessness, including people living in boarding house accommodation, couch surfing and living in cars.

Access to this program is through an Intake & Assessment appointment which can be made in the Day Centre.

Please click here to access a Referral Form.

Aspire

The Aspire Program works with people experiencing chronic homelessness through long-term case management and assistance to secure sustainable housing, employment and other goals.

The program is funded by a Social Impact Bond (SIB), the first in South Australia, and the third in Australia at the time of launch in 2017.

The program is a collaboration between Hutt St Centre, South Australian Government, Social Ventures Australia and Housing Choices South Adelaide.

Referral and intake for the Aspire Program occur in a staged way, with 13 new people accepted into the program every month for the first 4 years. Referrals can come from any Specialist Homelessness Service in Metropolitan Adelaide or Yatala and Northfield Prisons and the RAH (including Glenside) Hospital. The Aspire Program will provide regular advice to referring agencies as to how and when referrals will take place.

For enquiries on the Aspire program please email the team

Aged City Living

The Aged City Living program assists older people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to achieve an optimal level of independence, and to live well and safely in the community.

A specific aim is to prevent premature entry into residential care and frequent hospitalisation by providing assistance to link with community support services.

The services operate in the north, south, east and west metropolitan regions within 15 kilometers of the CBD.
