Angel Day’s are $350, and provide 200 people a day with a nutritious and delicious meal, in a safe and caring environment. Support through Angel for a Day goes so much further than just providing food - a meal at Hutt St Centre gives dignity, respect and companionship to people who are struggling, and can be the first step to engaging with our services and rebuilding a better life.
For many people, Hutt St Centre is not only a place to fill a rumbling belly, it’s where a friendly smile will greet them and ask how they are. It is a safe, welcoming environment where help can be found and friendships grow. With over 50,000 meals cooked and served each year, our Angels ensure that every person is welcomed when they arrive, that someone will smile at them today; that someone cares about them.
Both you and Mum will have the chance to come into the kitchen and volunteer for a shift, seeing firsthand how big an impact your gift has. Your names will also go up on our Angel board, a public acknowledgement and thank you on your chosen Angel day. Coming in for a shift is entirely optional, but strongly encouraged!
If you decide to purchase an Angel Day we welcome you to download and include this card insert (4 x 6 inches) letting Mum know the special gift you’ve bought in her honour.
