We were recently touched by a beautiful act of kindness from Brenda, a caring member of our community. With a lifelong love for knitting and crocheting, Brenda found solace in creating beanies, which also helped soothe her arthritic hands. Moved by her daughter's commitment to our cause, Brenda generously donated over fifty of her cosy, hand-knit beanies to provide comfort and warmth to people facing homelessness.
Brenda's daughter, Jeanette, spoke on her mother's behalf, saying, "Not having a home would be bad enough, but to then have to contend with the freezing winters we experience here in Adelaide would be devastating." Jeanette further shared -
“For Mum, there is nothing as special as ‘home’."
We are truly grateful to our dedicated community of supporters, like Brenda, whose compassion and generosity provide warmth, comfort, and hope to people experiencing homelessness.
