Angel for a Day
$350 is all it takes to provide breakfast and lunch for approximately 200 homeless people.
Angel for a Day is an initiative that started in 2005 to help raise funds to provide meals and snacks for our clients. As our programs grew so did the need to raise more funds. Hutt Street Centre does not receive funding to purchase food hence sponsors are sought for every day of the year, your $350 covers the costs of providing meals to those who may otherwise go hungry and undernourished.
Get family members, a group of friends or work colleagues to pitch in to buy a day or a week and make a difference to someones life. We welcome you to be an 'Angel'!
Over 50,000 meals are served each year ..... real Angels make this happen! Brenda, the HSC cook, will prepare her millionth meal at HSC shortly, we celebrate this achievement.
