How you can help?
Hutt Street Centre depends upon the generosity of the public and our supporters to maintain essential services. We also rely on donations and services in-kind to upgrade, renovate and add to our buildings and facilities; for budget acquisition, and to cover project costs.
Fundraising is two fold:
- targeted directly at current needs through specific projects, and
- generally to ensure the future sustainability of services.
Approximately 1,600 individuals use the Centre each year and from July 2010 to June 2011 we served more than 45,000 meals.
Your donation assists us in providing the following:
$20 will provide a warm jumper
$50 will supply a swag
$100 will fund a "park to home" starter pack
$350 will cover the costs of one day’s breakfast and lunch requirements for 200 people.
$1,000 will contribute to the employment of a mental health social worker.
Donations to the Hutt Street Centre Foundation may include:
- Tax deductable cash contributions to our office or online
- Corporate support (tax deductable)
- Donations in lieu of flowers at funerals
- Wills and bequests
- Apparel and domestic goods made directly to the Clothing Shop
- Bulk quantities of food items.
